These rates are being collected as part of the Cesarean Section Quality Initiative. It is estimated that SoonerCare births represent over 60% of births in Oklahoma*.

Primary C/S rate = Primary c-sections divided by the sum of primary c-sections + vaginal deliveries (Women who are having babies for the first time.)
Total C/S rate = All c-sections divided by all deliveries
